The members of the present Moodus Corps strive to maintain a presence that preserves the style and tempo of the musicians that started this proud, unbroken tradition one hundred and eighty years ago. The corps continues to play the same Eli Brown drums that have been handed down from generation to generation of Moodus drummers. These drums, combined with the Ferrary and Peeler fifes, create a sound which is truly ancient. From the drums we play, to the music played on them, from the colonial uniforms we maintain, to the hearts and souls of the people who give so much of themselves to keep this ancient style alive, the Moodus Drum & Fife Corps is dedicated to the proud memory of those who have gone before.
Thank you for taking the time to look at the Moodus Drum & Fife Corps web site. We are very proud to be the oldest continuous drum corps in the nation.
